Pierre Guillaume 10.2 Sphinxyness — New in October 2026
Coffee fragrances often drift toward dessert-like sweetness. In Pierre Guillaume’s new Édition d’Atelier release, coffee takes a different course, joined by saffron, black ebony and a smoky woody shadow.

The name 10.2 Sphinxyness is not meant to explain everything at once. This new Pierre Guillaume Paris creation belongs to the Édition d’Atelier series and explores coffee; the house describes it as woody-amber, spicy, smoky and animalic.
The listed opening notes are saffron and Egyptian coffee. At the heart is an Indonesian kopi luwak accord, while Macassar ebony forms the base. The coffee theme therefore unfolds within a dark, dry woody frame.
The name Sphinxyness came from the brand’s internal working vocabulary. Pierre Guillaume Paris links it to the sphinx and the word “sexyness”: the pull of something slightly strange and not entirely deciphered. For the fragrance, it describes the intended contrast of roasted coffee, spice and dark wood.
10.2 Sphinxyness is released as an eau de parfum in 30, 50 and 100 ml bottles. The 30 ml version is listed as exclusive to the brand’s online store and unavailable in boutiques.
The release will be of particular interest to followers of Pierre Guillaume’s author-led line and collectors of coffee compositions beyond the familiar gourmand register. The official note list cannot establish how it wears on skin, how long it lasts or its sillage; those are best assessed in person.
