Roberto Cavalli’s licence runs to 2046 — why those 20 years matter
Interparfums and Marquee Brands have secured their partnership for Roberto Cavalli and Just Cavalli fragrances through the end of 2046. For the house, it creates an unusually long period without a change of fragrance partner.

Fragrance licences tend to follow a familiar rhythm: a launch, several years of development, then talks to renew the agreement or pass the brand to another player. Roberto Cavalli has chosen a different scale — Interparfums will handle Roberto Cavalli and Just Cavalli fragrances for another twenty years.
Interparfums and Marquee Brands have extended their exclusive worldwide licence until 31 December 2046. It covers the creation, development and international distribution of fragrances for both lines. Interparfums Italia will remain the operational hub: its work is tied to Florence, while management is based in Paris.
This is not an announcement of a single new bottle, but a decision about who will shape the house’s fragrance business for decades to come. The long licence gives Interparfums room to build the portfolio with continuity: develop familiar names, plan new lines and avoid treating each launch as the final note of a short contract.
The partnership began in 2023. Since then, the portfolio has gained extensions around Uomo, Just Cavalli and Marbleous; in 2025, the brand launched Serpentine. Interparfums has also referred to forthcoming releases, though the announcement does not disclose their names, dates or compositions.
For collectors, continuity is the key point in this news. Roberto Cavalli will retain one licensee responsible for developing and releasing fragrances, rather than moving through a series of disconnected relaunches after a change of partner. This does not guarantee unchanged formulas or the return of particular archive bottles, but it does make the brand’s fragrance strategy considerably more predictable.
Marquee Brands, which owns the brand, retains its role as the managing company, while Interparfums assumes practical responsibility for the fragrance category. This division allows the fashion house to preserve its own language while the manufacturer develops it in perfumery with a horizon beyond a single season.
2046 is still a long way off, and that is precisely why the extension carries more weight than an ordinary corporate announcement. Roberto Cavalli has gained more than a licence term: it has a long runway for the next chapter of its fragrance story.

Roberto CavalliParadiso AzzurroLavender, bergamot and tangerine give Paradiso Azzurro a cool, lucid opening. A transparent water note leads into jasmine and tuberose, with apple, peach and rose adding gentle fruit-and-flower fullness. Cypress, cashmere wood and sandalwood deepen the composition, leaving its freshness smooth rather than sharply austere.
