Opus XIII – Silver Oud opens with the rough, earthy grain of cypriol, patchouli and Virginia cedar. Oud dominates the centre, while Madagascar vanilla contributes warmth rather than overt sweetness. Birch, guaiac wood and the leathery-animalic character of castoreum make the finish smoky, severe and strikingly solid.
Silvery light catches the charred edge of birch, the close grain of Virginia cedar and the dark sheen of oud.
