Description

Honeyed rose and mimosa unfold through spice before settling into oakmoss, patchouli and woods.

Soir de Lune by Sisley opens with coriander, pepper oil, nutmeg and a bright trio of bergamot, lemon and mandarin. May rose, mimosa, iris, jasmine, lily-of-the-valley and peach create a richly textured heart. Honey, oakmoss, patchouli, musk and sandalwood make the base earthy, woody and sweet.

On skin

Sensory profile

Warm amber light falls over coriander, pepper and nutmeg, while citrus peel flashes at the edges. A full floral arrangement comes forward: May rose at its centre, surrounded by mimosa, iris, jasmine and lily-of-the-valley, with peach adding a ripe accent. Below, honey gleams across oakmoss and patchouli; musk and sandalwood smooth the darker ground. The scene is opulent in texture yet firmly structured.

Practice

Where to apply

Most at home on cool autumn or winter evenings, though it can work by day when a richer signature is wanted. Reports commonly suggest long wear and an expansive trail. A restrained application is sensible for close settings or warm weather.
