Aquaco™ Boost Essence Moves Fragrance into Water, but Remains a Technology for Now

2 min readErnast Flermont40

French company Expressions Parfumées is preparing to present Aquaco™ Boost Essence, a fragrance-in-water technology, at Beautyworld Dubai. Its stated aim is to make applying scent to the skin a more personal, sensory experience.

Aquaco™ Boost Essence переносит парфюм в воду, но пока остаётся технологией

Perfume usually comes with a familiar gesture: pick up the bottle, spray, wait for the first cloud. Aquaco™ Boost Essence proposes a different approach—a water-based format that Expressions Parfumées will present at Beautyworld Dubai.

In its official announcement, the company calls the technology ‘fragrance in water’. Its developer links it to the growing convergence of scent, skincare and wellness, as well as to demand for a more personal, skin-centred experience of fragrance.

For now, this is a technology presentation rather than a finished fragrance ready for sale. Expressions Parfumées has not disclosed which brands or products may use Aquaco™ Boost Essence, given a launch timeline, or confirmed retail availability. It is therefore too early to judge its longevity, scent profile or practical method of application.

That makes the shift in perspective all the more interesting. For the industry, a water base could offer a reason to rethink fragrance’s contact with the skin and the familiar application ritual. For the consumer, it is not yet a new bottle on the shelf, but a direction worth following after its Dubai debut.

Beautyworld Dubai may show whether Aquaco™ Boost Essence remains a laboratory platform or becomes the basis for specific fragrance formats. For now, only the first step is confirmed: Expressions Parfumées is bringing the idea of fragrance in water to a professional audience.
