Caron Brings a Six-Metre Perfume Fountain to Monaco
The French house Caron has opened its first boutique in Monaco. On rue de la Turbie, fragrances are chosen amid concrete, metal and an almost six-metre version of the house’s signature fountain.

Buying a fragrance increasingly begins not at the shelf, but with the space around it. Caron’s new Monaco boutique is built around precisely that experience: the historic French house has opened its first address in the principality at 1 rue de la Turbie.
The boutique covers 83 square metres. It was designed by Casper Mueller Kneer Architects under the artistic direction of Olivia de Rothschild. Exposed concrete, brushed metal, reflective surfaces and pared-back volumes shape the interior; rather than competing with the fragrances, the materials provide them with a calm setting.
The space’s defining feature is a monumental interpretation of Caron’s signature perfume fountains, standing around six metres high. For the house, they are more than a decorative gesture: the fountains are tied to its tradition of refilling bottles in its boutiques. In Monaco, that idea becomes the architectural centrepiece rather than simply a service area.
The new location is Caron’s fourth standalone boutique worldwide, following two addresses in Paris and a store in Dubai, according to Premium Beauty News. The house’s official list also includes a Caron space at Printemps Haussmann in Paris, a format distinct from an independent boutique.
For visitors, this means more than another place to buy a bottle. Caron is building a selective offline network around personal consultation, refills and an unhurried introduction to its collections. In Monaco, this is joined by a dialogue with design and contemporary art: the house plans to show works by artists connected with its Les Formes Libres collection.
The boutique is open from Tuesday to Saturday. In a city where luxury is often expressed through decoration, Caron has chosen a more restrained language—and given the leading role to fragrance itself.

CaronDelire de RosesDelire de Roses gives rose a vivid, open-air freshness. Juicy litchi meets crisp green notes, while lotus and lily-of-the-valley bring a translucent floral quality. Jasmine adds fullness without obscuring the composition’s clean lines, leaving the impression airy, feminine and gently aquatic rather than dense or opulent.

CaronLady CaronLady Caron opens in a bright sweep of magnolia, jasmine and neroli, followed by the soft juiciness of peach and raspberry. Tuberose and rose deepen the floral heart without obscuring its clarity, while oakmoss and sandalwood bring a cooler, shaded finish. The contrast feels poised and distinctly feminine: radiant above, quietly grounded below.
