Mane Brings 250 Fragrance Specialists Together in a New Bar-sur-Loup Centre
A fragrance formula passes through many stages that usually stay out of view: an idea, evaluation, scientific validation and refinement. Mane plans to bring them together at a new centre near Grasse.

Mane has begun construction of its Fragrance Design Centre in Bar-sur-Loup, in the historic Pays de Grasse perfume region. The group plans to invest €45 million in the project; the foundation stone was laid on 21 September.
The centre will occupy an 8,900-square-metre site. It is intended to bring together fragrance creation, evaluation and development for the company’s Consumer Goods business—fragrance solutions for everyday products. Opening is planned for 2028.
The building will accommodate around 250 people: perfumers, evaluators, scientific specialists, development teams and technical staff. The aim is to shorten the distance between a creative idea, its validation and the preparation of a composition for practical work with clients.
For Mane, the project is also a way to strengthen its presence in the Grasse region, where the company grew up and where skills essential to the industry remain concentrated. Consumers will not see a new bottle immediately after the foundation stone is laid, but centres like this shape how quickly—and through what dialogue with the market—fragrances for everyday products will emerge in the years ahead.
