How it feels

Velvety rose petals emerge from half-light against dark wood with a muted glow. Dry, smoky guaiac and the depth of agarwood give the scene weight, but a narrow shaft of bergamot keeps it from becoming dense or still. Here the rose is richly textured rather than watery: cool at the rim, softly powdery within, and anchored by lingering woody warmth.
