Sculpture from 1994 opens with bergamot, lemon, tarragon, green notes, peach, and freesia. Ylang-ylang, iris, orchid, jasmine, cyclamen, and lily of the valley follow. Wait for the base: benzoin, vanilla, tonka bean, musk, sandalwood, and cedar make it considerably warmer than the opening.
Sculpture Delicate Fleur has a simpler structure. Rose, pear, and mandarin lead to hyacinth and lily of the valley, while musk, sandalwood, and tonka bean form the finish. It is a useful starting point if you prefer a clear fruity floral line without a large number of transitions.
Choose the original Sculpture for complexity and the contrast between a fresh opening, floral heart, and warm base. Choose Delicate Fleur for a more direct composition in which pear and mandarin support rose, hyacinth, and lily of the valley. Notice the pace of the transition to the base as well: Sculpture has a fuller floral heart, while Delicate Fleur reaches musk, sandalwood, and tonka more quickly.
