How it feels

Deep, warm light catches the lacquered surface of plum and gathers in the folds of Turkish rose petals. Pink pepper flickers at the edges before cinnamon and chocolate thicken the atmosphere with spice and dusky bitterness. Tobacco, patchouli and labdanum form the ground beneath it all: dark, resinous and richly textured, with the rose remaining vivid at the centre.

Most expressive on cool autumn and winter evenings, particularly for dinner or an event where a fuller scent feels appropriate. It is often reported to last for many hours and project beyond arm’s length, so a measured application may be preferable.
