Bitter orange and vivid spices cut through a dry, aromatic structure of tea and woods

Cartier

Transparent daylight catches citrus peel, scattered spices and the dry grain of cedar. Bitter orange supplies the brightest stroke, but caraway, coriander and artemisia make the air more aromatic and complex. Pepper, ginger and cardamom then create a brisk current through the composition. Farther back, tea, vetiver, leather and oakmoss suggest shaded, tactile depth—a calm foundation beneath the initial flash of citrus.
Declaration works naturally by day and at meetings, with enough spice and woody depth to carry into evening. Spring and summer receive the strongest seasonal support. Most reports place longevity in the moderate range and projection around arm’s length, though skin and application matter.
Cartier Declaration is a 1998 men’s fragrance combining bitter orange, bergamot and mandarin with cardamom, pepper, ginger, tea, vetiver and cedar.
