How it feels

Think of warm spice suspended in cold blue light. Saffron and two peppers strike first, crisp at the edges and heated at the centre. Cedar creates a vertical wooden line, while lily-of-the-valley opens a small pocket of air rather than turning the fragrance overtly floral. Tobacco, vetiver, oakmoss, sandalwood and patchouli then gather below in a dark landscape of wood and earth, giving the whole composition an adult, controlled gravity.
