Ajmal is a family fragrance brand whose history follows Haji Ajmal Ali's move to Mumbai in 1950 and his early work with oud.
Brand story and character
Ajmal's history centres on a family business and a lasting relationship with oud. Haji Ajmal Ali moved to Mumbai in 1950 to enter the perfume trade, and the first shop followed in the 1960s. The business subsequently grew into a recognised fragrance name across the Middle East.
The contemporary range includes perfume oils, agarwood, Dahn Al Oudh, and home fragrance. Together these categories express a rich Middle Eastern vocabulary in which oud is not an occasional fashionable note but part of the house's identity.
Ajmal has also contributed to the wider international interest in Arabian perfumery. Its profile rests on a recognisable tradition that has remained both family-rooted and commercially durable.
