Brand story and character
Montale appeared in Paris in 2003 after Pierre Montale returned to France with experience of Eastern aromatic traditions. Oud became a foundation of the house language, joining French composition with woods, resins, flowers, and musk.
The house associates oud with Cambodia, India, and Laos, but its palette extends to rose, amber, leather, vanilla, citrus, and flowers. Contrasts allow dark woods to meet bright petals, sweetness, or freshness.
