Bond No. 9
Bond No. 9 is a New York perfume house that has drawn on the city, its neighbourhoods, and its urban culture since 2003. Individual locations shape its compositions, while a wider lifestyle range extends the same visual identity.
Brand story and character
Bond No. 9 began in New York with the city as its principal source of imagery. The official history identifies 9 Bond Street in NoHo as the starting address and dates the perfume debut to 2003. Place is therefore not a backdrop but the framework for the names, visuals, and character of the collection.
Neighbourhoods, streets, parks, and cultural references become fragrance subjects. This use of local geography gives Bond No. 9 a coherent niche identity in which a composition can be understood through both its notes and the atmosphere of a particular address.
Founder and CEO Laurice Rahmé is the central figure in the house's history. Bond No. 9 presents her role as both managerial and creative, spanning the original concept, fragrance development, and the wider visual direction.
The perfumes are known for a rich presentation and eau de parfum concentrations stated by the house at 18–30%. Candles, body silks, and related categories carry the aesthetic beyond fragrance while retaining the same New York focus.
Collaborations with The Andy Warhol Foundation, the I Love NY collection, and anniversary releases have added cultural milestones to the story. Bond No. 9 continues to treat the city as its constructive idea rather than a decorative theme.
