Creed
Creed traces its story to London in 1760, joining a British tailoring tradition with French haute perfumery. Aventus, Green Irish Tweed, and Silver Mountain Water form part of a contemporary niche collection centred on original composition and carefully selected materials.
Brand story and character
Creed presents itself as an authentic perfume house creating original artisan fragrances. British tailoring culture, French savoir-faire, and a refined approach to materials give the collection its disciplined manner.
The house dates its foundation to James Henry Creed on Conduit Street in London in 1760 and describes continuity across seven generations. Tailoring provides the underlying logic of structure, proportion, and finish.
The Art of Millésime places rare natural ingredients, manual weighing, and maturation near the Château de Fontainebleau at the centre of production. Material and construction take priority over decorative display.
Aventus and its related editions, Green Irish Tweed, Silver Mountain Water, Eladaria, Queen of Silk, and Wild Vetiver connect heritage with the language of contemporary prestige perfumery.
The catalogue expanded significantly from the 1970s onwards, and L'Oréal completed its acquisition of Creed in 2026. The house now combines its established British-French identity with the reach of a major international beauty group.
