Akro
Akro is the fragrance house of Anais and Olivier Cresp, connecting the heritage of Grasse with the energy of contemporary London. Its collection begins with everyday addictions and rituals: morning coffee, sweet baking, tobacco, whisky, or tea. Anais provides the cultural impulse, while Master Perfumer Olivier Cresp translates a familiar emotion into a precise composition.
Brand story and character
Akro's story takes shape between two cities. Olivier Cresp grew up in Grasse in a family connected to fragrance craft and raw materials. For his daughter Anais, London became the point of departure: life within its creative environment, nightlife, and everyday urban rituals. Together, they connected the French technical school with the directness and freedom of London culture.
The concept centres on things people return to almost automatically: the first coffee, a cigarette after dark, a favourite bar, a sweet treat, or a long evening. Akro calls them addictions without moral judgement. Each fragrance name sets a clear theme, but the composition does not simply copy an object. It conveys the associated energy, texture, and emotional memory.
The founders' roles complement each other. Anais observes habits and defines a contemporary cultural frame; Olivier creates the fragrance form. His biography is connected to Grasse and several generations of family knowledge about raw materials. At Akro, this experience does not become a stylisation of archival classicism. It serves stories about coffee, chocolate, tea, travel, tattoos, and nightlife.
The catalogue can be read along several coordinates. Navigation divides fragrances by addiction, olfactory family, mood, and concentration; eaux de parfum, extraits, travel sizes, and discovery kits are available. Smoke refers to tobacco, Malt to whisky, Dark to chocolate, and Infuse to tea. These words open the route into a composition but do not promise equally literal or gourmand results.
Awake is devoted to coffee and is assigned to the gourmand family by the house. Santos coffee and lemon form the opening, green cardamom the heart, and vetiver the base. This concise pyramid moves from bitter coffee density to spicy freshness and a dry woody finish. The image of a warm coffee shop on a cold day connects an everyday ritual with an energising urban atmosphere.
Bake works with another form of pleasure, the lemon cupcake. Lemon peel opens the composition, Chantilly cream and praline create the middle, and brown sugar and vanilla form the sweet base. It is also a gourmand eau de parfum, but its structure differs from Awake: citrus tartness separates the creamy, nutty section from the sugary vanilla trail.
Awake and Bake show the Akro method in two forms. One translates coffee through a contrast of bitterness, spice, and vetiver; the other constructs baking from lemon, cream, praline, and sugar. A clear originating ritual and Olivier Cresp's authorship connect them. The house does not state a foundation year in its history, so this profile preserves the verifiable sequence of people, places, and ideas without inventing a date.
