Arrogance
Arrogance appeared in Milan in 1980 and builds its image around urban elegance, dynamism, and independent character. Its fragrances are made in Italy, while design and composition work as parts of one contemporary silhouette. The long history of Arrogance Femme and Arrogance Uomo is complemented by new releases and anniversary editions.
Brand story and character
Arrogance connects the beginning of its history with Milan and 1980. The city serves as more than an address; it is a model of style whose architecture, fast pace, and cosmopolitan culture become an image of perfumery for people who emphasize character. The brand describes this aesthetic as clear, decisive, and independent of time.
Fragrance production remains Italian. In the language of Arrogance, material quality meets conspicuous object design, and the bottle becomes part of the overall statement. Color codes help distinguish the lines while preserving a recognizable form. This approach places the brand closer to urban fashion than to a reconstruction of classical perfume history.
Arrogance Femme holds a central place in the brand's heritage. Raymond Chaillan created its formula, and the line has been on the market for more than forty years. The current version is built on citrus and white flowers over a woody-musky foundation. The history of one fragrance became a support for a broader women's direction.
The men's collections develop another side of the image. Arrogance Uomo combines citrus and aromatic herbs with sandalwood, cedar, patchouli, and vetiver; Arrogance Blue adds spice, apple, mint, vanilla, and modern amber. In each line, character is explained not by one material but by the meeting of freshness, spice, and a woody frame.
For the forty-year milestone, the 2024 catalogue presented anniversary fragrances in familiar bottles with updated colors. The women's composition joins citrus, transparent and white flowers with ambergris; the men's is built on citrus, pepper, flowers, cedar, moss, tonka bean, and vetiver. The anniversary reads as a renewal of form rather than a rejection of the original urban theme.
Mix Melograno, Vite belongs to the earlier Arrogance Mix collection and is absent from the current catalogue. A perfume database dates the fragrance to 2005 and describes it as an eau de toilette. Grapes and blackcurrant create a juicy opening; pomegranate and jasmine continue the fruity-floral line; vanilla and sandalwood form a soft base.
In Mix Melograno, Vite, the move from cool juiciness to creamy woody sweetness is key. Blackcurrant adds tartness to grape, pomegranate preserves a fresh fruity facet, and jasmine makes the heart brighter. Sandalwood smooths the composition, while vanilla gives it roundness without a complex heavy trail.
The historical Mix Melograno, Vite shows a more playful, fruity side of Arrogance, while current lines emphasize urban character and recognizable design. The year and pyramid of the older release retain perfume-database status; its formula author is not confirmed by a primary page and is therefore not named.
