Adolfo Dominguez
Adolfo Dominguez grew from the work of designer Adolfo Domínguez Fernández into a Spanish clothing, accessories, and fragrance brand. Galicia, restraint, and the phrase La arruga es bella define its identity.
Brand story and character
The Adolfo Dominguez project is associated with Ourense in Galicia and an official company history dating to 1976.
La arruga es bella—“wrinkles are beautiful”—expressed a preference for natural texture and quiet elegance rather than display.
The first fragrance appeared in 1990, with development associated with Myrurgia and later Puig. Scent became a continuation of fashion rather than a separate decorative gesture.
During the 2000s sustainability gained greater importance through an ecological manifesto in 2008, an animal-welfare policy in 2010, and the Green Me collection in 2012. The Ágora method later organised collections around a unified concept.
Public reporting in 2026 shows the international Spanish company continuing to strengthen its financial and operational model while retaining a coherent creative language.
