Carner Barcelona
Carner Barcelona is a family perfume house founded by Sara and Joaquim Carner in 2010. Its fragrances are conceived in Barcelona around Mediterranean light, urban culture, nature, and personal memory. Wooden bottle details connect each composition with craft, material, place, and time.
Brand story and character
Carner Barcelona began in 2010 as a family project by Sara and Joaquim Carner. The house describes its identity as a Mediterranean soul shaped by Barcelona's light, sea, modernist architecture, craft, dense streets, and relaxed rhythm. Sara Carner's memories of nature and the sea meet the influence of her father, a third-generation leather artisan, joining emotion with respect for quality and detail. Wood became the visual signature of the bottles, giving transparent glass a warm and tactile counterpoint. The first two fragrances named in Sara Carner's founder's letter, Tardes and D600, show two sides of the method: Tardes recalls childhood, family, countryside, wood, and fresh air, while D600 addresses Barcelona and her personal connection with the city. The house works with perfumers to turn a place or memory into a composition, with names and bottles providing an entry point rather than replacing the scent. Carner Barcelona therefore uses the Mediterranean not as a tourist shorthand but as a specific language of family memory, local architecture, light, materials, and urban energy. Since 2010 it has translated these elements into fragrances and scented objects with a clear craft identity.
