Detaille is a Parisian perfume house founded in 1905 and associated with the Belle Époque. It grew from historic skincare formulas and now brings fragrance, skincare, powders, and home scent together under one restrained French name.
Brand story and character
Detaille began in Paris in 1905 with Baume Automobile, the product that provided the starting point for the house. Its long history remains closely connected with French perfume and beauty culture.
Marie-Aline Detaille, Comtesse de Presles, created the house around care, fragrance, and aesthetic refinement. A boutique on rue Saint-Lazare and expansion during the 1920s and 1930s broadened the range; Aéroplane, released in 1927, became part of its perfume heritage.
Today the house works across perfume, skincare, essential oils, powders, and room fragrance. French origin and a contemporary reading of classical form keep its historical foundation present in the current collection.
