Brand story and character

Franck Muller and Vartan Sirmakes founded the watch manufacture in Geneva. Their partnership followed a meeting in 1991. This date marks the meeting of the future partners, not an exact legal founding year, which the house's story does not state separately.

Cintrée Curvex is identified as the brand's most recognisable watch silhouette. The curved case later inspired the shape of Franck Muller perfume bottles. The two areas are connected by a physical form rather than an assumption that every fragrance shares one character.

In 2016, Franck Muller commissioned CPL Aromas to create its first fine-fragrance collection. This establishes the starting year and the partner behind the range, although the licensing structure and current rights are not disclosed.

The first collection comprises five eaux de parfum. Each composition takes inspiration from a well-known Franck Muller watch design. This principle connects the names and visual system with the watchmaking heritage without turning five formulas into variations of one scent.

CPL Aromas perfumers Beverley Bayne, Julie Pluchet, and Dominique Preyssas worked on the collection. This establishes the creative group. Precise attribution of an individual fragrance still requires its own page, since participation in the range does not imply co-authorship of every formula.

Two individual credits are established. Crazy Hours is by Dominique Preyssas, while Aeternitas is by Julie Pluchet. These fragrance–perfumer pairings apply only to the named compositions and should not be extended to the other three eaux de parfum.

The collection's bottles take their form from Cintrée Curvex, the house's signature watch silhouette. The transition from watch case to perfume object is therefore literal in the packaging. This design continuity remains distinct from a fragrance's ingredients and development on skin.
