Ineke
Ineke is Ineke Rühland's independent perfume project based in San Francisco. Personal experience, literature, design, and garden imagery become concise stories with a composed and distinctly authorial tone.
Brand story and character
Classically trained perfumer Ineke Rühland created original fragrances in an independent San Francisco studio. European study, Canadian origins, and experience in the Netherlands, England, and France brought technical discipline together with personal literary expression.
An alphabetical collection structure gave the house wider visibility. A 2008 feature presented the sequence as inspired by literature, art, and storytelling, with names and visuals turning each fragrance into a chapter of one coherent world.
After 20 years, Ineke Perfumes began winding down as its founder shifted attention to Ministry of Scent. The completed body of work remains memorable for a personal voice, clean structure, botanical themes, and delicate emotion.
