Jean-Louis Scherrer
Jean-Louis Scherrer joined Dior in 1956 and opened his own fashion house on rue du Faubourg-Saint-Honoré in Paris in 1962. In fragrance, a precise credit is established for One Love, Thomas Fontaine's composition with floral, green, and powdery facets.
Brand story and character
Jean-Louis Scherrer studied at a Paris couture school and joined Dior in 1956. This stage preceded his independent house and shows the professional environment in which the future Paris designer developed.
In 1962, Scherrer opened his own fashion house on rue du Faubourg-Saint-Honoré in Paris. This date establishes the beginning of the house but is not used as the start of its fragrance activity.
In 1971, the house opened a boutique on avenue Montaigne and received haute-couture status. The decade after its foundation thus brought a new address and recognition within the couture system.
In 1980, Scherrer received the Dé d’or for the “Russe” collection. The award belongs to a particular fashion collection and does not extend to the fragrance line or individual scents.
Thomas Fontaine is the established perfumer of One Love. The fragrance combines floral, green, and powdery facets. This is a concise profile of one composition, not a universal description of Jean-Louis Scherrer perfumery.
One Love is a precise starting point in Jean-Louis Scherrer fragrance: Thomas Fontaine created the composition, whose character is described through floral, green, and powdery facets. Try it alone to follow the balance and change of these three themes on skin.
