Lanvin
Lanvin is the French fashion house founded by Jeanne Lanvin in Paris in 1889. A millinery workshop and the bond between mother and daughter grew into a maison whose perfume, beginning with Arpège, retains a soft, feminine, and poetic character.
Brand story and character
Jeanne Lanvin opened her Paris millinery workshop in 1889 and developed it into a complete fashion house in which silhouette, finish, lifestyle, and emotional coherence belonged together.
The birth of her daughter in 1897 made motherhood and continuity between generations central themes. Children, young women, and adult collections followed, while the mother-and-child emblem became an enduring visual code.
Arpège, introduced in 1927, brought the same identity into fragrance. Lanvin blue, bows, daisies, and the mother-and-child motif connect fashion, symbol, gesture, and scent within one world.
Éclat d'Arpège, Modern Princess, Jeanne Lanvin, and Les Fleurs de Lanvin translate this heritage into lighter daily forms. French restraint, clear lines, and soft femininity keep the active fashion and perfume house connected with its origins.
