Maison Rebatchi

Maison Rebatchi grew from the dream of Mohamed Rebatchi, a Frenchman of Algerian heritage born in Créteil. The founder sets the cultural and material context, while invited perfumers receive freedom of interpretation. Fragrances are made with Accords & Parfums in Grasse; Pierre and Jules Dinand created the bottle with its mashrabiya motif.

Brand story and character

The story of Maison Rebatchi begins with Mohamed Rebatchi's biography. He was born in Créteil in 1991 to a family from Algiers and grew up in modest surroundings north of Paris. Fragrance held a special place in family culture: scenting clothes and the home turned smell into an accessible form of beauty, attention to daily life, and hospitality.

At twelve, Rebatchi began visiting perfume shops after school and gradually built his own way of perceiving materials. His path was not an inherited family profession. He learned through practice, conversations with perfumers and evaluators at small composition houses, attempts to make accords, and the development of his own brand concept.

Meeting Karine Chevallier proved decisive. Through her, the circle of collaboration expanded: Randa Hammami introduced Rebatchi to Maurice Roucel, and Bertrand Duchaufour followed. The founder brings a theme, memory, and questions about materials without claiming formula authorship. Each composition retains the name of the perfumer given creative freedom.

Production is connected to Accords & Parfums near Grasse. The house emphasizes its choice of materials and work with a laboratory that also grows May rose. Pierre and Jules Dinand developed the object design. The bottle's raised mashrabiya motif refers to the founder's origins and joins French form with the architectural memory of North Africa.

Musc Panache was created by Maurice Roucel as a citrus woody musk. Tamarind, mandarin, bitter orange, bergamot, and cardamom establish spicy freshness. Orris and honeysuckle soften the move toward a base where Haitian vetiver, patchouli, cedar, tonka bean, musks, and Amber 83 from De Laire form a transparent woody-amber structure.

In Musc Panache, musk is not separated from a classical cologne structure. Citrus brings light, cardamom adds dry tension, and orris rounds the middle. Vetiver and cedar prevent excessive sweetness, while tonka and the amber material add warmth. The result is an intimate musk with clear movement from freshness to a soft base.

Rose Rebatchi was created by Randa Hammami around rose, the house's symbol. Pink pepper, saffron, raspberry, peach, and apple surround Damask rose essence and Turkish rose absolute. Orris butter adds powder; white musks, sandalwood, ambergris, and a leather note turn the floral theme into a warm, tactile trail.

The two fragrances show different sides of the Maison Rebatchi method. Musc Panache joins cologne, orris, woods, and musk; Rose Rebatchi reveals rose through fruit, saffron, powder, and leather. Their authors are confirmed on the house pages. A legal founding year and primary launch dates are not published there, so these values are not reconstructed from local data.
