Moschino
Franco Moschino founded his Milan fashion house in 1983. Irony, play, and provocation allow familiar objects to become jokes, pop images, or commentary. Fragrance continues this method through expressive compositions and bottles that form part of the message.
Brand story and character
Moschino has used irony since 1983 as a way to reconsider fashion rather than as surface decoration. Familiar objects, logos, and symbols are shifted into new contexts, creating humour while exposing the conventions that give luxury objects their status. This approach matters especially in fragrance, where the bottle and name become active parts of the olfactory statement.
The object provides the opening gesture, but a complete composition must still sustain the idea on skin. Toy turns a familiar soft object into an adult perfume icon, while Toy 2, Bubble Gum, and Pearl develop colour, sweetness, nostalgia, and pop associations in different ways. Fresh Couture transforms a household cleaning bottle into perfume packaging, bringing an ordinary object and high fragrance into deliberate collision.
Toy Boy plays with masculine codes instead of offering a neutral template. Across clothing, accessories, and scent, Moschino uses collage, humour, and visual rhythm to make everyday application a short act of play. The house does not deny fragrance's intimacy or memory; it simply refuses to require that intimacy to remain solemn.
