Prada
Mario Prada founded the Milanese house in 1913. Its perfume language places craft memory beside precision, familiar materials beside abstraction, and historic technique beside contemporary sensation, particularly in Les Infusions.
Brand story and character
Mario Prada opened a leather-goods shop in Milan's Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in 1913. Materials and craft shaped the early house, while Miuccia Prada's collaboration with Patrizio Bertelli from 1975 turned heritage into material for continual redefinition. A 2003 agreement established systematic fragrance production and development. Prada Amber Woman followed in 2004, Prada Amber Man in 2006, Infusion d’Iris in 2007, Prada Candy in 2011, and Prada Luna Rossa in 2012.
The sequence shows several registers rather than one olfactory signature. Les Infusions provides the clearest expression of the method: a material is recognised but not copied literally, appearing as a fleeting memory reconstructed through detail, texture, and déjà-vu. Historical perfume techniques become contemporary through musks, citrus, leather, transparency, and precise structure.
Daniela Andrier and Marcel Christ are associated with the collection's craft and intellectual development. Saffiano caps and bottle colours connect substance, form, and association without turning the perfume into a colour illustration. Candy and Luna Rossa confirm that gourmand and dynamic directions can coexist with the restraint of Les Infusions. Across them, unity comes from asking how a familiar material can become modern and personal.
