How it feels

The image is a spice cabinet caught in low amber light. Cinnamon and cinnamon leaf feel warm and textured, while calamus and mandarin introduce a clearer edge. Nutmeg, pimento and white pepper gather in the centre, their heat tempered by Bulgarian rose rather than sweetness. Below, myrrh, olibanum, opoponax and styrax create the shadow: resinous, balsamic and contemplative, with enough structure to keep the warmth composed.
