Enrico Donati created Alyssa Ashley under the House of Houbigant in 1969 and named it for his daughter. Houbigant Paris had passed to him in 1965, 1968 marked another step in the chronology, and control later moved to the Perris family in 2019.
Musk established the central olfactory tone. White Musk, Amber Musk, Tonka Musk, Rose Musk, Cedro Musk, and Red Berry Musk later joined patchouli, vanilla, and amber directions. Reference catalogues list 39 fragrances from 1969 through new releases in 2024.
