Chloé
Chloé is a French fashion house founded by Gaby Aghion in Paris in 1952. A freer and softer idea of ready-to-wear developed into a recognisable language of femininity, ease, and modern romance across fashion, accessories, and fragrance.
Brand story and character
Founded by Gaby Aghion in 1952, Chloé offered a softer and more natural alternative to the rigid fashion system of the mid-century. Its approach would become associated with luxury ready-to-wear and modern daily elegance.
Paris provided an environment where fashion, art, and everyday ease met. The first show at Café de Flore in 1956 captured this atmosphere, presenting clothes as an extension of personal style rather than a discipline imposed on the body.
Richemont acquired the house in 1985, while the original emphasis on soft lines, movement, femininity, and quiet confidence endured across ready-to-wear, shoes, bags, leather goods, and accessories.
Chloé Signature, Nomade, Atelier des Fleurs, Love Story, and Chloé Le Parfum extend the same language into scent. Soft florals, rounded structures, and assured femininity make fragrance an integrated and recognisable part of the house.
