Brand story and character
Donna Karan launched her first collection in 1984 after working at Anne Klein, creating a clear system of clothes for real life. Practicality, femininity, and urban composure became parts of one idea rather than opposites.
Seven Easy Pieces established a reputation for an intelligent, easily combined wardrobe that moved from day into evening. DKNY later brought the same New York outlook to a younger and more accessible line.
G-III Apparel Group acquired Donna Karan in 2016 and relaunched it in spring 2024. Clothing, shoes, bags, accessories, jewellery, and home categories now support a more structured commercial architecture.
Fragrance continues the fashion code through Cashmere Mist, Cashmere Collection, and a history beginning in 1992. DKNY Be Delicious, Golden Delicious, and 24/7 extend the range from intimate softness to fresher urban energy.
