How it feels

Dark oud forms the ground of the image, dense and finely grained, while rose rises across it in broad strokes. Daylight catches the flower’s edges but leaves the wood substantial, creating a composition of shadow, colour and firm texture. A slight spicy current moves between the two materials, preventing their weight from feeling still. This is not a crowded scene: its character comes from the direct encounter between agarwood and rose.
