Eau d'Italie
Marina Sersale and Sebastián Alvarez Murena created Eau d'Italie in 2004. Its first fragrance was developed as a signature composition for the 50th anniversary of the Le Sirenuse hotel. The fragrance's name later became that of a collection of scents and body-care products united by inspiration from Italy.
Brand story and character
The story of Eau d'Italie began in 2004 with Marina Sersale and Sebastián Alvarez Murena. Its starting point was not a broad catalogue conceived in advance, but a specific project for Le Sirenuse: the creators developed the hotel's signature fragrance to mark its 50th anniversary. A connection with place was therefore built into the brand from its first release.
The debut composition gave its name to the entire collection. Eau d'Italie came to encompass fragrances and body-care products that the creators connect with Italy. This sequence is central to understanding the brand: first came a scent for a particular setting and occasion, followed by an independent line built around it.
Fior Fiore is one of the collection's more specifically described fragrances. Its composition includes pear, lily of the valley, Jasmin Pétale, jasmine sambac, and ambrette seeds. Pear provides a fruity reference point; the two jasmine materials and lily of the valley form the floral aspect, while ambrette adds another material to the stated composition. This list applies to Fior Fiore alone and should not be extended to the brand's other releases.
Eau d'Italie grew from a signature fragrance created in 2004 for the 50th anniversary of the Le Sirenuse hotel. For a specific introduction to this Italian-inspired collection, begin with Fior Fiore, which lists pear, lily of the valley, two jasmine materials, and ambrette seeds.
