Emanuel Ungaro is a French fashion house rooted in Parisian couture and recognised for bold colour, prints, and draping. Its story began in 1965, while fragrance developed naturally from Diva into contemporary releases with the same emotional and expressive style.
Brand story and character
Emanuel Ungaro founded his Paris house in 1965 after training with Cristóbal Balenciaga. Discipline of form and cut met strong colour, active prints, contrast, and the distinctive use of draping.
The house settled on Avenue Montaigne in 1967, reinforcing its place within French haute couture. Femininity, pure silhouettes, detail, colour, movement, and emotion carried the name internationally.
Diva, the first fragrance, appeared in 1983. Sensuality and theatrical composure gave perfume an independent role as a carrier of the house code, later broadened through new interpretations and masculine releases.
Cosmic, Diva Rouge, Diva, For Her, L'Homme III, and For Him now stand alongside ready-to-wear, accessories, and home fragrance. Historical identity and contemporary use remain connected.
