Fragonard

Fragonard holds a distinctive place among French perfume houses through its family history and close relationship with Grasse. The house dates its story to 1926 and describes four generations of perfumers and collectors.

Grasse is its creative and productive centre rather than a decorative address. Three production sites in Grasse and Èze-Village connect the brand with Provence as a source of colour, form, and olfactory associations.

Perfume sits beside skincare, candles, diffusers, gifts, fashion, and home objects. Together they create the atmosphere of a French house in which scent belongs to visual and domestic culture.

Museums are another important part of the identity. Fragonard established a perfume museum in Grasse, a Paris museum near the Opéra Garnier, and the Musée Provençal du Costume et du Bijou, combining production with the preservation and interpretation of perfume history.

Reference chronologies associate the founding with Eugène Fuchs in 1926 and record a first Paris boutique in 1936. These milestones support a broader family and cultural narrative centred on craft and place.
